Disable “View Mobile Site” ?

  • Is there a way to force “Full Site View” on a phone device?

    The way it is now the user can go back and forth between “View Mobile Site” and “View Full Site” on their phone.

    Full Site View displays great; the layout correctly converts to one column. But mobile site view creates some problems for me.

    I use a front page header image and I also use the call to action buttons for registration and logging in. The image and buttons (and my footer and sidebar, etc) do not display in the mobile site view. Therefore I would like to disallow the user from opting for this view on their phone.

    I was searching for a solution to the same issue for my site (theciva.wordpress.com). And I finally found it and thought you’ll need it too. So here what you need to do:

    1. go to WP-dashboard (site-url.com/wp-admin)
    2. Go to appearance > Mobile
    3. Turn off “Mobile Version”.
