disable user mails as well?

No it just disables the notification emails to the admin.

But It’d be great to see this feature integrated in the plugin.

I can′t find a way to disable the user email, not the admin email notice of a new user registration.

as a temp fix you can comment out line 44 of the php file

// wp_mail($user_email, sprintf(__('[%s] Your username and password'), $blogname), $message);

This works as a simple plugin:

if ( !function_exists('wp_new_user_notification') ) {
  function wp_new_user_notification( ) {}
}
