    Hi everyone!

This gallery plugin is really great and I like it a lot. Unfortunately there is a slight problem / issue: It uses Google hosted Fonts which can be tricky from a tracking problem.

Question: How can I disable the usage of web-based Google Fonts? I’ve got no problem hosting them on my own…

During my search for a solution I only found an older posting with removing a line/content in a deeper file but that didn’t work for me. It seems like that the gallery calls some separate service wich then loads the font (robot). Directly within the code I can’t find the call to
    https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/KFOmCnqEu92Fr1Mu4mxK.woff2”

The usage of several WP Plugins to “disable Google Fonts” doesn’t work as well. A separate option within nextgen would be great to not use Google webbased fonts.

Any idea? I guess at least all german users of this plugin got that problem.

    Thanks!

We’ve moved to local font loading a while ago so if you use the latest version of NextGen Gallery – it shouldn’t try to load or pre-load web fonts. More than this, I don’t think we’ve ever needed Roboto font for NGG ( we use local hosted Lato for the most ).

You can try deactivating NGG plugin to see if your site still tries to load Roboto font then go from there.

Thanks for your reply – I’ll check the versions! I tried the other way around: Disabling all other plugins instead of nextgen! Weird…
