    Hi,

Is there anyway I can disable top level job categories from being selected?

For example I have something like the following (below) and I would not like the top level categories selectable.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you very much.

    Daniel.

    • Top level 1 (not selectable)
    • Second level 1
    • Second level 2
    • Second level 3
    • Top level 2 (not selectable)
    • Second level 1
    • Second level 2
    • Second level 3

I don’t think you can with out category dropdown. You would need to output a custom one (template override and custom loop through your categories to generate a select field).

    Hi,

I do have a similar need.
All categories with parents needs to be non-selectable when applying a job but selectable when choosing categories where selection of the parent should output result including jobs/listing within all the childs.

    Is this possible ?

When you Refer to using category dropdown you mean one dropdown for each category level on category submission form ?

As I said, you’ll need a custom category dropdown. Quite doable, just not out of the box ??
