• I’m sure this must have come up before and please believe me when I say I’ve searched and searched for the answer that’s relevant to me. I’ve tried many things but always come back to /shop3/ using a theme that’s incompatible with a woocommerce shop page.
I did not develop this theme or the original site. Unfortunately the people who did didn’t have ecommerce in mind when they developed a beautiful looking site. There is a shop site that points elsewhere but in order to make use of some of the Book industry tools I need to help them get woocommerce working.
Sooo… It’s simple really. I need to do one of the following:
Bypass the elements of the theme that are breaking the Woocommerce pages
Bypass the theme entirely for the Woocommerce pages

It seems that if you try to create a custom page outside of the theme (Like /cultural-programme/) and turn it into the shop page it reverts back to using the theme again.

On another site I managed to get around a similar problem by redirecting the woocommerce pages to my own themeless pages. This was easy enough because there were only 2 categories. Unfortunately most bookshops have many more!

I have access to their FTP site. I’m comfortable enough amending code or pasting it in but don’t code myself.
I have created a Child theme to avoid updates and permanent damage by myself!
I have read a /woocommerce/ folder in the theme folders can cause issues but this doesn’t exist.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Dan
