How do you disable the registration for PMP? I want to use a default registration page, but it keeps directing users to a “Membership-Level” page, which is not what I want. I only wish for the users to access the membership section when logged in. Otherwise, the traditional registration method is something that would be suitable.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

You can turn off all of those redirects by navigating to Memberships > Settings > Pages and setting the ‘–Choose One–‘ option in the dropdown.

Note that using the default registration page would only give a member a membership level with some added code. Those members that register would also only be registering for a free level that does not charge them for any of it.

What pages needs a “Choose One”

We don’t have any membership level that is free and we do not plan to do so. We have website which users can read chapters (written books) in advance before public release and with the amount of unlocking/locking posts that we’ll have to do by checking the “Require Membership” box, we only have one paid membership.

I’m not sure I understand your use case and the need to disable registration as a member can only sign up for a Paid Memberships Pro level via the PMPro Membership Checkout page.

If someone were to only ‘register’ on your site, they would only a user on the site with no membership privileges or similar.

If you want to protect the content on your site you would need to either edit each post and set the required membership level, or if the only content you’re protecting is a post you can protect them on a category level by navigating to Memberships > Settings > Levels > Edit and selecting the categories from there.
