We are having problems when installing a new theme on the site (torbenrick.eu).

It comes with the error: Disable the open_basedir setting in php.ini file

    One.com (hosting) says:

“We do not offer turning this off or changing what folders you have access to. You may disregard this error message and continue with your installation Just take note that we don’t recommend Duplicator on larger sites as it becomes to heavy when executing resulting into timeouts”

    What can be the problem?

The site is located on a shared network.

    The database is 15,4 MB.

    One.com (hosting) says:

“We checked your webspace and it seems you already have 8++ MB. That is large actually.”

    Hi TRDK29,

What is the overall size your site during the scan? Some budget hosts ratchet down the settings on there plans very tight. If this is the case on your host you may have to try to create some directory filters and switch to mysqldump in the Settings menu if they offer it… I’m not sure what 8MB is referring to, is that the php_memory_limit setting?

    Hope that helps~

    Hi

    I don’t have a “budget” version. I do have a Professional + (https://one-docs.com/guides/en/web-space-comparison-table/?url=specs/).

8 MB+ is related to the size of the database – The database is 15,4 MB.

    PHP memory_limit is 2 GB

What is the overall size your site (files and directories) during the scan? That may be where its getting hung up. 15.4 MB DB is pretty small, you probably aren’t having issues with the DB its the overall size of the files that may be an issue for the host…

The total size is 870 MB

It may be possible that your host kills PHP/Apache process after they have ran 30-60 seconds. In some cases depending on how the host alloacates CPU resources it may be that it is taking longer than their set timeout limits to zip up the full 870MB (as they have mentioned) with using the plugin for larger sites. Here are some work-a-rounds you can try:

    Creating a Package:
If your simply just trying to move the site you may create a filter on your uploads directory which usually contains larger image/video files. This will get the overall size down enough for your host to run the full process. Then manually move the files that were filtered from the archive over manually.

    Installing a Package
If your trying to install a package that was successfully created then on step 1 of the installer under advanced options is a check box for “Manual Extraction”. Manually unzip the file using your hosts unzip software check the box and try the install.

    Hope that helps~
