    Hello,

i’m using a replacement text in the Advanced Settings to logged out visitors and non-members. But i’d like to show that Text *only* if they visit that post. But PMPro also replaces the Text Snippets / Metabox Text (the short description you see below each post on the homepage). Is there a way to stop that from happening? So that the Text *only* replaces the Text within the post; not it’s meta-text?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @gooloode, thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

Is the replacement text handled by a plugin or custom code? Would you mind sharing details of either so that I can advise further?

    Hi @jarryd-long,

the Text Replacement is made through PMPro directly. See Settings > Advanced Settings:

Thank you for clearing that up for me. This text hooks into the the_content filter and replaces it if a member does not have access.

Your theme is likely adding in meta information to the_content and this results in it being hidden when a user views a protected post.

You would need to reach out to your theme developer and find out when/how the post meta is added to a post, unhook PMPro’s the_content filter and append it to the post meta rather than replace.

Alternatively if you can adjust your post template and keep the meta and content separate that would work too.

If you are not comfortable with making these kind of changes yourself, I would recommend posting a job on https://jobs.wordpress.net for further assistance.
