Disable subscriber email notices for post changes?

  • In the transfer from WP.com to WP.org, some published posts were scrambled. I changed those posts to private until I could correct them. As I correct (update) them, new post notifications are sent to my subscribers.

    Is there a way to stop the emails? These are not new posts. The notices are from WordPress as I’m using Jetpack. I do not have any other plug-in installed which sends the notifications.
