• Hello and thank for this great plugin :),

I would like to ask if there is some filter or hook that i can use to exclude some authors (emails) from getting registered in the database at all.

For example, when the post has an author with email [email protected] do not register the email in the database (do not subscribe the author to comments).

    Thank you very much.

You’re welcome and thank you, happy to hear that ??

Not at the moment, but can be added to the list.

    But I’m not 100% sure I understood what’s needed.

You said “when the post has an author with email [email protected], do not register the email in the database”.

Did you mean “when the comment has an author with email…”?

Sort of like a blacklist of emails that aren’t allowed to subscribe?

I would love this option too! I have one or two users who keep hitting the subscribe button by accident, despite being told multiple times what it does. You just can’t teach some people…

@wpkube thank you for your fast reply and Merry Christmas!

Maybe i should describe better what is my issue ?? When i create-edit-save a post from the admin (wp-admin/edit.php) (i am the admin), then i see the author(his email) of the post automatically added in the list (wp-admin/admin.php?page=stcr_manage_subscriptions).

Then, because i don’t want them to be subscribed in comments, i have to go manually and delete them from the list.

How could i exclude some authors(emails) of getting added in that list if i create-edit-save a post that is assigned under their account email.

    I hope i was more clear ??

Thank you very much for your help

Ah, yeah, it’s clear now. You have the “subscribe authors” option enabled but you want some authors to be excluded from that. Will add to the list.

It’s a different feature from what @honoluluman, can you submit a separate request for this, it’s easier to track and manage separately.
