    Hi,

Is there any way of disable sanitize_name (i.e. the photoname)? I know there is some security issues while using ImageMagick, but if you is the only uploader to the albums, it shouldn’t be of any problem.

If thats the case, it would be nice to have a disable function in the settings (could be set to enable by default).

The issue is that I use the filename as the photoname in the albums and heavily use ‘space’, ‘(‘ and ‘)’ and also use the photoname to adding additional exifs (camera type, lens etc).

    Yours sincerely

    Rasmus

Just to be sure: do you use ImageMagick and does it still work for you in version 6.9.14?

When I try to upload files, file names will be sanitized, so I guess my webhotel is running with ImageMagick.

The problem is that I do not want my file names sanitized so a way to disable this would be fine. Either by outcomment this in the code or by having a deactivation option in the settings that is set to default on and thus your own concern if you set it to off.

Hope that gives a bit more sense ??

I will change it in 6.9.15 as follws: (from the changelog)

When ImageMagick is active and filename as default photoname has been defined:
Uploading files with spaces and brackets in the name will have their photonames correctly derived from the original filename.
The filename as saved in the database and on disk will be sanitized.
This does not apply to photo imports, because their names are always sanitized before processing.
