I absolutely LOVE everything SPAI does, such as serving the images from your CDN and them being served as WebP for browsers that support it, but is there any way to disable, site-wide, the images being served resized? I have the images displaying just right in the front-end, but when I activate SPAI, they are served resized and appear much too small, and I can’t find anywhere in the settings to where I can turn off resizing yet keep everything else active. Is there some code I can possibly put in the functions.php file to disable this particular resizing feature?

    Thank you so much.

    Hi @urbancowboy1994!

Unfortunately, there is no such option to do that (it would go against the name of the plugin ?? ), but you can exclude specific images or types of images. Can you please have a look at this article? https://help.shortpixel.com/article/229-how-to-exclude-images-from-optimization-in-the-shortpixel-adaptive-images-plugin

If you have any questions, let me know!

Indeed – I get your point there. However, people use your plugin for all sorts of reasons, including the ability to have the images served from your CDN, as well as served as WebP.

My needs are these, specifically because my images are already served in the appropriate size and are being served too small after resizing…and further, if I understood the article correctly, by excluding images from resizing, (even on an individual basis as this article details), this would prevent them from being served as WebP. This would not be a solid workaround, as it breaks the WebP functionality.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi @urbancowboy1994,

Well, I have good news for you ??

I just found out that the article I sent you is outdated, because we recently released version 3.0 which brings the New AI engine. When you enable it in Settings, WebP does not depend on lazy loading / resizing, so you can exclude all images you want from resizing and still keep WebP.

We’ll update the knowledge base, so thanks for pointing us to that!

    Have a good one,
