    You’re very welcome.

I’m not sure what the point would be of adding that option…that basically would disable all spam protection. Someone could just disable the plugin if they want to disable comment spam, trackback spam, and contact form spam protection. Regarding contact form spam protection, it’s only active if you install a WP-SpamShield contact form so that’s already under your control. If you want to use another contact form plugin and not have the WP-SpamShield contact form protection, you already can do that with no problem.

    I hope that helps.

This plugin is excellent for spam protection.

But I only use it for registration spam protection. For that reason i was curious to know whether there would be any provision for user registration spam protection only.

Thanks for your reply. I am a very happy user of this plugin.

I’m glad to hear you are enjoying the plugin. ??

The core purpose of the plugin has always been comment spam protection, going back to 2007 when it was a different plugin. Later, but early on, contact form and trackback spam protection were added. The method I developed to fight comment spam and contact form spam was later adapted for use with registrations. I did that so users could have an all-in-one solution and not have to add yet another plugin for registration spam protection if they were already using it for comment spam protection (as well as contact form and trackback spam protection). (Please see the plugin documentation for more on the history of the plugin.) To disable comment spam protection would be to deviate from the core purpose of the plugin, and I just don’t plan to do that.

I hope that answers your question. Have a good one.
