    Hello,

Thank you for the plugin, it’s great for performance.

I just have a question for you guys. I’m going to start using on one of my websites the WP Proposals plugin. This plugin creates a proposal page/link similar to a post. As the proposals are intended for one potential client only, I don’t want them to appear in search results. The plugin says that the proposals are set to do not index. However, they also say it is recommended to exclude them from the SEO plugin.

I have excluded them as you can see in this screenshot: ?https://mayangatewayimages.b-cdn.net/Screenshots/Excluded%20from%20The%20SEO%20Framework.png

My question: is this going to preven that these pages are indexed and crawled by Google?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello!

Yes, that toggle ought to do the trick. I just verified this.

You can also enable “noindex” by default for the Post Type (SEO Settings > Robots Meta Settings > Indexing > Post Type Settings). This will remove the post type’s posts from sitemaps.

With that, you’ll get multiple robots-meta tags, but since they’re considered an array tag, multiple are allowed, and all values are condensed: the most restrictive values are considered.

But then, you’ll still have SEO settings available for the Proposals, such as setting a title, description, and Open Graph image, which can be displayed when sharing a link via Twitter, Facebook, Discord, LinkedIn, etc. If this isn’t useful for you, then excluding the post type as you already did is fine.

I hope these additional insights are helpful. Cheers!
