Disable Product image and enable external image

  • Hi

    when using woocommerce for affiliate products from Amazon I am able to set featured image as external image BUT it’s not replacing the product image. my image gallery still has the internal image from Amazon download on the server. I want to disable the Amazon image downloading on server. even if I delete the product image from UI and media folder and hit the update product button it again downloads. Is there any setting for this to disable?

    Are you using the field provided by WooCommerce or “Featured Image from URL” field provided by this plugin?

    Yes Marcel, I am using FIFU field and i want to delete/disable the woocommerce existing featured image.

    Please access FIFU settings > Help > Support > Data button. Click on that and send me the that.

    Hi, @indexmefast.

    I could send you screenshots, but not here, because that doesn’t allow attachments.

    First, you should enable FIFU settings > Admin Area > Media Library.

    Then in EPO, you should choose Change product image > Use custom image.

    And finally, in Populate options > Images, you can choose an external image, that will be shown in the media library.

    Basically, that’s it.
