    Hello,

Thanks for the wonderful plugin, it works like a charm! My only problem is that the plugin is not working and triggering an error message in IE 8 and lower, which unfortunately I still need to target. I know it is tricky to troubleshoot old IE versions, but maybe you can suggest a way to conditionally disable the plugin on those browsers?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello, Anita,

Thank you for your kind words!

Are you sure there is an issue with IE8? We have made some tests with VMs running IE8 and we have not spotted any issues. Could you perhaps point us to your website, so we can take a look for ourselves?

    Cheers,
    Takis

    Hi Takis,

Thanks for your response. It seems like there is an issue with IE8 because images do not resize and the error goes away when I disable the plugin. I develop on localhost, so unfortunately I cannot share a link. I will move the site to a staging server soon though, I will post again when I do so. Thanks for your fast reply!

No problem! Let me know as soon as you have your website online, so that I can take a look at it then. It would be great if there is a bug we might catch…

    Hello, Anita,

Terribly sorry for my late reply!

I did check your local installation via Browserstack IE8 but I still cannot find what the problem is. Here are some of screenshots of how it is rendered: https://d.pr/i/1dVkX, https://d.pr/i/19Ikm, https://d.pr/i/15tKu, https://d.pr/i/1exBp.

Do you think you could give me some more specific details as to what the error you see is?

    Cheers,
    Takis

    Hi Takis,

Thank you for your reply! I totally do not know why, but it seems like the error went away when I moved the site to the staging area. Plugin still does not work in IE8 and lower, but I guess it is less important as it is not used on tablets and phones.

    Thank you for your responsiveness!

OKay, let’s leave it there then, I am glad I was able to help in some way. I would really like to know what the error in IE8 was, just out of curiosity!

    Cheers,
    Takis
