Disable Personalize Button

Is there a way to disable the Personalize button from the product page until the required attributes are selected? (size, color,etc.)

I have a n ote in the product page advising customers that they need to select size and color before clicking on the Personalize button, otherwise they get an error message. However, this is still a problem. As is expected, not all customers read the instructions.

I am wondering whether anyone has found a way to resolve this
