• Hi. Any way to disable the plugin on posts? Even a snipper will do! This includes removing the shortcut icon at the top.

    Hi Martin,
There isn’t a simple way to do this. I’ll check with the developer to see if he knows of a workaround and get back to you!

    Thank you @hannahritner.

I can’t say that I recommend this I think you would be creating issues for yourself in terms of errors in the editor because of how reusable blocks load. However, I looked around to see what solutions others have written about this and it seems this approach might be your best option:

@britner How do I include the plugin in such a filter? I only use it in pages and not posts.

    Hey,
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option for this in our plugin and I don’t expect to be making such an option. A possible workaround for you is to use the javascript filter mentioned in the post I linked to above. Using that method you can turn off each kadence block one by one for a specific post type.

@britner I have found a way to disable the blocks via the block manager. The problem now is the shortcut at the top. I think what I am arriving at is I do not want to use any block plugins with my posts to avoid vendor lock-in. Now, please tell me how to hide the shortcut at the top right.

    Hey,
Using the block manager wouldn’t that disabled for all post types?

Either way the block settings (icon on the top right) wouldn’t add anything into your posts to create “lock in”. You can’t add blocks through the settings. Does that make sense?

And just to be clear as I mentioned before there isn’t an option to turn our plugin off for posts and not pages. And further, I don’t expect to be making such an option.

I will just look for an alternative then. Good Luck.
