    Hi there!

    Can you please provide a way how to disable the FB Chat plugin?

    From what I gather, you are using the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin and would like to disable Messenger.

    You can view your Messenger settings from the Marketing > Facebook > Messenger tab. There is an option in that screen, for enabling Messenger, or otherwise.

    For further details, feel free to refer to the official documentation’s section, which I am directly linking here.

    I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.

    Thank you. ??

    So in my case the Marketing > Facebook > Messenger checkbox is unticked/unchecked and the FB chat is still showing on my website.

    Furthermore, from the FB control page, I can still change the Chat Button appearance for example (Button display Decide how the chat button will look.)
    Yet I am still not able to disable it altogether!!

    hi there!

    I understand that you still see Facebook for WooCommerce after having it disabled on your site.

    First, could you please review your active plugins and ensure that you don’t have other Facebook-related plugins apart from Facebook for WooCommerce?

    Also, if you don’t find other plugins, can you fully flush any caching from your site?

    If the recommendations above don’t work, could you share your current System Status Report? You can get it by navigating to WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status. Once there, click on the “Get system report” button and then copy it by clicking on the “Copy for support” button.

    Hello Felipe,

    I also have PixelYourSite, but I was trying to disable this plugin to no avail as well.

    Here is my system report: https://easyupload.io/2dpkqk

    I can’t find any other Facebook or Meta plugin I could disable or remove.

    Furthermore, since I have the full control about the Chat plugin from the Facebook webpage – I can change the style of the chat window – why I simply can’t disable it from there?

    Thank you

    Hi again,

    since I have the full control about the Chat plugin from the Facebook webpage – I can change the style of the chat window – why I simply can’t disable it from there?

    We wouldn’t know why you can’t disable it from there as this is the native Facebook chat solution, and only the Facebook team would be able to confirm.

    I believe it is because it wouldn’t make sense to disable these from Facebook directly—if the user added it from their integration, it is because they would likely want it there. Your case is a bit different because you are having issues disabling it from the integration.

    I see you’re using a staging site. Could you try to disable the following plugins for testing?

    * PixelYourSite: by PixelYourSite – 9.2.1
    * WPCode Lite: by WPCode – 2.0.4.4

    Also, I mentioned flushing the cache on your site (page, browser, and object cache). Could you please confirm that you tried that? Often some hosting providers add caching to your site, so you can check with them as well to confirm.

    I deactivated both plugins, purged the cash from the server and test on completely new device and the chat is still showing up…
    (I actually did this in the past, but I did repeat it again in the right order now.)

    It seems it is a FB’s mess…

    Thank you

    Hi @alesvanek

    Could you please try re-enabling the Messenger feature from Marketing > Facebook > Messenger.

    Please then click on the link to manage the greetings and colors. This should take you to a page within Facebook that looks similar to the below.

    From the Messenger Chat Plugin box, please click on the first View button:

    From the pop up, you should have the option to either Update the plugin or delete it.

    Could you please try deleting it from there, then disabling Messenger again from Marketing > Facebook > Messenger and see if that removes it from your site?

    Thanks!
