    Hello,

I would like to use the lightbox while viewing thumbnails so that when a thumbnail is clicked on the light box shows up. But I want to disable to magnifying glass cursor because it seems to disable the mouseover text of the title of the image. I have tried using a third party lightbox and got it working successfully but it still shows the magnifying glass cursor. Here is an example of what I’m talking about…

Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any help.

I will treat thia as an enhancement request. You will be able to select —none— in Table I-G2, what will also bring up the photo name as title.

Maybe next week in version 5.4.11 or soon thereafter.

Thank you so much! This is almost exactly what I am looking for! The only thing left missing is it doesn’t show the mouseover text for the title of the image. Did I miss a setting somewhere?

It looks like changing Table VI-B2 away from “Lightbox” makes the mouseover appear fine, but I’m looking to keep the lightbox. Thank you again!

Interesting. I guess it is something I am doing wrong. Sad days.

I have noticed that in the code of the website where the pictures are the title quote are blank.

    <img id=”i-2-1″ src=”./Under Construction, Be Back Soon! Original D_files/2.jpg” alt=”02.JPG” title=” ” width=”500″ height=”375″ style=” border-width: 0px; width:500px; height:375px; margin-top: 63px; margin-bottom: 63px; cursor:url(https://originald.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/images/),pointer;” onmouseover=””>

If I save it and manually change the title quote to match the alt quote then when I open the modified version the hover text is working just fine. I just am not sure how to make the title populate when the website loads, haha

Yeah… but where is it… Hard to find without a link. I must have ‘forgotten’a location to put the title arg in, but where…

What display is it exactly? e.g. thumbnails in an album display, filmstrip, a widget and if so which one of the approx 10 different widgets…

I used this to insert the gallery:
    [wppa type=”thumbs” album=”3″ align=”center”]Any comment[/wppa]

This is a link to the gallery itself:
    https://originald.com/2014/09/hello-world/

I think this is the information you asked for. I apologize, I know enough to get by but am not super great at this stuff, haha.

Oooops, that link will likely do a redirect.

Here is one that shows the album…

I would like a real live link.
What changes did you make to wppa-functions.php?

    Thread Starter originald

    (@originald)

I have disabled my htaccess redirect. I couldn’t think of another way to show you the live site… haha

The original link should work now.

I don’t believe I made any changed to the wppa-functions.php file.

When I made changes I downloaded the page like I did with the album.htm file and then made changed to that file locally.

I only get a ‘Under construction’ page, and it looks that the plugin is active.

Sorry, but this way i can not help you.

Open the site for me, activate the plugin, de-activate your lightbox plugin, set Table IX-J3 to wppa and supply a link to a page that shows the problem.

Strange. The redirect to the construction page was taken out before I posted that link and I tested on a computer outside my network and cell phone to make sure the page worked.

Hopefully my htaccess file isn’t cached on everybody’s computer or I may have an entirely new issue on my hands, haha.

The link should be working to show a page that has the issue, there is no longer a redirect in my htaccess.

Thank you so much for your help. I would donate more money for your support and help but money is tight for us right now so it was all I could give.

Got it working. The original link does not work, but https://originald.com/ does.

Did you clear the names of the photos? It is the name of the photo that appears in the tooltip, the description may contain html that does not work in a tooltip.

In your initial screenshot, the text in the tooltip is ‘Picture title shows up here…’ ( i interpreted this as the photo name ) and the subtitle is ‘Picture description shows up here…’ ( I interpreted that as the photo description ).
