You closed a similar topic, but you didn’t answer in the forum. This shouldn’t be a PRO support only topic.

By default, you should make the Lightbox Video feature OFF.

I installed the plugin keeping in mind it is a screenshot Lightbox.

To my surprise, after months of using the plugin, I clicked a link of a video and it popup onscreen as a embedded video instead of the intended opening a new tab straight into YouTube.

My site has several pages of tables with links to my YouTube channel.

I don’t think you thought this through.

I have noticed a sudden drop of YouTube revenue, and now I have found the culprit. Your Lightbox plugin.

YouTubers do not get revenue when videos are embedded. Only when visitors click the link and open the YouTube page directly — which is what my website is about. So can you please disable video embed by default so that you stop hurting your Free and Pro users?

Minimum: Do not make links popup at all. Only images.

I solved my problem. Uninstalled your Lightbox plugin and picked a third-party Lightbox plugin that isn’t intrusive with links as yours is.

You already have a YouTube embed plugin, so it was redundant and harmful to Youtubers to add the embed function to the gallery lightbox. Your plugin cost me over $100 in YouTube revenue.

    Hi dear user.

    Sorry for the late response.

We added this functionality after one of our users suggest it. We will check it and update our plugin.

    Thanks.

    Hi dear user.

We added such functionality – “Disable\Enable link(URL) lightbox”, now you can use it.

    Thanks.
