• I got a technical SEO question to do with this theme.

I search for pages that have been indexed by google for my site.

However, I see pages that have URL’s indexed that are for just my images. For example, I would go to my site and find a page with just a image (on its own) I had uploaded previously to another post.

how do you prevent this happening for the future?
How can I remove the image pages?
Is it good SEO practice to remove these pages?

I have done my own research and found: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-image-attachment-pages-in-wordpress/

But this seems to re-direct rather than to remove. Plus I can only do this with yeost premium so adding a custom script may have to be an option.

    Thanks,
    Lucas

    Hi there,

Since WP media items are a custom post type, each of them have a post created automatically for them.

I do believe redirecting them is the only option.

Let me know if you need more info ??
