Disable Hyperdb only in wp-admin

I’d like to disable hyperdb in wp-admin or at least enable it to just go to the master db and not read from slaves because I suspect there is a race condition where with lots of data passing by, the new data doesn’t quite make it to the slaves yet when it’s read by hyperdb after, say, you submit a new post. I frequently see the post status not change and the old title come back if I updated it, but everything is fine if I refresh after another second.
