    Hello all,

according to the latest data protection regulation in Germany, no data may be transferred to the USA before the visitor has explicitly agreed to this.

However, it is now the case that “GTranslate” loads various content from “gstatic.com”. This may be okay in America, but in Germany it is a violation of the German Data Protection Ordinance.

Is there any way that the plugin is really only loaded/activated at all when the visitor explicitly agrees to this in the cookie query? With Google Analytics, for example, we have integrated a script directly in the cookie, which is only executed when the visitor agrees to the cookie.

Surely there is such a possibility for “GTranslate” as well, right?

I would be very pleased to receive your feedback!

Thanks a lot & best regards,
    Manuel

    Hi,

I would recommend you use some sort of cookie consent plugin which will handle this. If you already have it, consult the plugin developer.

Alternatively you can use our paid version.

    Thanks! ??

In what way would the paid version help me to solve the problem? In the comparison between the free and the paid version(s) I see no advantage in this respect.

    Hi,

The paid version does not send requests to gstatic.com or other Google domains which may set a cookie.

    Thanks! ??
