Hej So I have installed LOCAL fonts on one site.
I have checked with Inspect element on EVERY page and I have removed ALL connections/calls to the Google Fonts server….

STILL I cannot “uncheck” the box in WP Cerber that results in the automatic generated cookie page – that I “have” google Fonts (as in webb-based, not local).

    What can I do?

    Hi @charlottan67,

The checkbox in our wizard, is grey when a suggestion is made, but not checked. Only a blue check is ‘enabled’.

I’m not sure how this relates to WP Cerber.

Sorry I wrote WP Cerber but of course I mean GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent.

So I guess I need to keep on searching then for where I have missed out that Google Fonts service is used as the automatic function in GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent, still lists Google Fonts as cookies?

If you uncheck the service, it normally removes the service as well, but you can also do this in the service descriptions overview, some pages further in the wizard.

Then also clear your cache to make sure the page refreshes.

So you mean it will actually remove the cookie? Not only remove it from the list?

    That would be great…

    Hi @charlottan67,

The Cookie Descriptions page provides a report of Cookies that are being used on your website (as detected in the Cookie Scan). Removing a cookie or service from the Cookie Descriptions list will remove it from your Cookie Policy document.

Removing a Cookie or Service from this overview does not influence the plugin/script on your website that is responsible for creating the cookie.

    Hope this helps/clarifies.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Thanks yes it does, and it is like I – from the start thought. To me that is not good enough…then I will be “lying”…

So I guess I need to inspect and inspect and inspect in order to find WHERE I have missed out to define my local fonts…aaa

What cookie is this? As far as I know Google Fonts does not use an actual cookie.

    My recommendation would be to:

    – clear your browser cache (to make sure all cookies are removed from your browser)
    – delete the service
    – run the scan again.

Then let us know if it returns, and if so, what cookie it is.

    Hi @charlottan67,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, is the issue resolved? We are happy to help you further.

    Kind regards, Kim van Dijk
