Disable Google Fonts

The default font, Open Sans takes a long time to load and according to Pagespeed Insights, is blocking some resources.
In the plugin settings, I’ve tried setting the font to inherit. I’ve also tried removing the @import Open Sans from the styles.css, but still the font loads as shown in Google’s Pagespeed Insights.
How do I disable this font and stop it from loading?
