Disable Flat Rate Shipping if Cart Contains Item without Shipping Class

Hi there,

I have an e-commerce store that has two shipping classes (Chair ￡26 and Heavy Chair ￡38). These charges are made per item.

If the items in the cart don’t consist of either a Chair or Heavy Chair, the option is Local Pickup only.

The problem is that when people order a collection of items, with some being a Chair or Heavy Chair, they see a delivery fee and don’t notice the huge notice, saying it only covers chairs. However, regardless of the notice, if they have to come and collect the other items, why would they want to pay for the chairs to be delivered.

I’d therefore like to disable the Flat Rate Shipping option if any of the items in the cart aren’t either a Chair or Heavy Chair.

I realise this is likely to be a hack, but wondered if anyone knows of a plugin that might have the ability to achieve the desired results?

I’ve looked at WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping and WooCommerce Advanced Shipping, but neither look like they can accomplish my requirements.
