Disable Featured Image Display on Home Page

  • How do I disable the display of the featured image on the home page of the attached site? I want to keep the featured image in rich snippets but I can’t seem to get the correct CSS to do the following:

    Remove the grey area caused by the featured image
    Change the header text from a white to a dark color that would be visible without a featured image.
