Disable Email Verification

    First of all, thanks for the plugin. We love it.

    Beside EDD, we are using another plugin for users management : custom login, registration, dashboard, login redirection based on role, page restrictions….

    We don’t need EDD to send the email verification email when a user register, because the other plugin already handles it very well.

    Since the option doesn’t exist in WordPress admin, could you advise us on how to disable EDD email verification with code or hook ?

    It is very important for us.

    Hey @aurelofou

    If this is the actual email verification that you are referring to, then it can’t be disabled.

    For example, if a customer has made a purchase in the past and, some time after another purchase is made with the same email that was used in the past, the verification email is sent. We have to do this to validate that it’s the same user that purchases again.

    This process usually applies to guest purchases.

    If this is a different email that you are referring to, could you show a screenshot for it?

    Hi @misulicus ,

    After investigation, I found that EDD only sends email verification if a user is trying to register and if the email is already recorded in EDD for a previous order as guest.

    So since I disabled guest purchase by checking the option : Require that users be logged-in to purchase files, this will never happen.

    I deleted my test emails in the DB; now the EDD verification email is not sent for standard user registration.
