How do I disable email notices on failed login attempts only, I’m getting way too many daily. I do wish to receive all other important WordFence emails.

The only way I found to do this was to remove my email address from the WordFence plugin options page. However, I want to receive important emails such as successful login, WordFence plugin update… now those are disabled as well from my understanding.

    Thanks, Ramsey

  • Hi Ramsey,

Disabling individual alerts is currently not available. You could set up a rule in your email program to move the alerts from the Inbox to a folder and mark them as read. This can easily be done at the server level with something like Google Mail.

    Thanks for the reply Brian,

Email filtering is a good work around, however it would be a great additional to be able to manage an option in WordFence as may clients find it difficult to configure email filtering let alone just the WordFence options.

    Hi,

You could turn off the two types of alerts that can happen when a visitor is locked out or blocked, “Alert when an IP address is blocked” and “Alert when someone is locked out from login”, on the Wordfence options page, if you don’t need any of them at all.

We are considering more fine-grained control of email options as well — I don’t have a date for when that may be implemented yet, but watch for it in the changelog when updates are released.

    Thanks Matt,

“Alert when someone is locked out from login” should hopefully do the trick.
