Hi, I’m wondering if there is a way to disable the double opt-in for subscribers with this plugin?

I’m not using this as a marketing service so I won’t be sending out newsletters and things like that. I only need this for very rare critical updates to my users. (about 1 email every 1 to 2 years kind of thing) but It’s very necessary I catch most of my users.

Also, I’m a developer so I don’t mind messing around with some code if needed.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

All automatic subscription processes in the plugin are built with double opt-in in mind, so it is not easy to bypass them.

As a workaround, you can keep “Automatically add all my future WordPress subscribers to a specific contact list” (in Settings > Subscription options) switched off, so new users will not be able to subscribe.

Then, before sending your critical updates, you’ll need to perform manual user database sync in order to add all your existing users to Mailjet. To do this, in Settings > Subscription options enable “Automatically add all my future WordPress subscribers to a specific contact list”, choose a list, enable “Also, add existing WordPress users (initial synchronization)” and save. After the sync is done, disable the automatic sync once again.
