I’m customizing the submit form ([event_form]), but I do not see the option to disable the date and time fields. I can hide them with CSS but they are required fields, so the form is not sent. Is there any way to disable these fields? Thank you very much!

  • No, there is not… Meaning of an event: “A planned public or social occasion.”
EM is an event planner. You can only plan something, with name, date, time and location. Otherwise, it’s not an event, but an idea/suggestion ??

You could use any good contact form for those. ?? I personally love Caldera Forms: free and has many options and is still pretty easy to use.

To help you out, there is some what of a work-around…
You could make a form in Caldera Forms (could use another, but CF just makes it easy). Then using their free add-on “Custom Fields” you can save the form submission as a post, or in this case a custom post type ‘event’. That way you will overrule all EM settings.

It works, but I cannot guarantee some linking of sql tables might not work perfectly. ??

Thanks for your quick response. I do not know if you are the author of the other plugin, but you have been very kind helping me with the solution to my problem. Caldera Forms and the add-on Custom Fields is just what I was looking for, I have installed it and it works perfectly. Thank you very much!!!

    Hi Alberto,

No, I am NOT any part of the EM team in any way! Please let that be very clear! ?? I am just a very, very enthusiastic user of Events Manager.

Glad I could help you out (again).
