    Update: just found the option! Never mind.

    Is there anyway to disable the CSS that comes with the plugin so it can inherit the basics from the theme itself and I can write the rest? I hate having to overwrite and have all the extra code. Thanks!

    Have you tried using the disable CSS option in the Table of Contents settings admin page in the Advanced section?
