    Hello,

Thank you for this wonderfull plugin.
I have been testing the free verstion of the plugin with my theme and works fine (i am using boombox theme, with buddypress integration).

However i have noticed a small problem.
When a new user is registered via the plugin, custom sizes of his/her avatar are being created (most probably because of themes default settings) and also inside buddypress default avatars folder.
I believe i dont need the creation of all those extra images (since i am using buddypress), and just to keep one avatar image or even better only the buddypress default avatar images (there are 2 by default).

More over, when i delete the user (or he can request deletion himself -buddypress function), all those (diferent size images) avatars are not being deleted from my upload folder, although buddypress avatars are being deleted normal.

Could you give me a help on that?

Thank you very much for your time

    Hi @honoluluman

Yes we have a custom integration for BuddyPress avatars. So if you have BuddyPress installed and activated then the avatars of the accounts registered with Nextend Social Login will be uploaded to the BuddyPress avatar folder of the user at:

    • wp-content/uploads/avatars/<userID>

We will only upload two images there:

    • avatar-bpfull.jpg
    • avatar-bpthumb.jpg

I just checked Nextend Social Login with the latest BuddyPress and upon deleting a WordPress account registered with Nextend Social Login, the uploaded images and the <userID> folder will also be deleted.

As far as I know, upon deleting an account, BuddyPress will scan its own folder if there is a folder with the user’s ID. In that case if there is a match, then they will delete the images that are containing the “-bpthumb” or “-bpfull” in their names.

I assume the other images that your theme generates may not contain these patterns in their names, and that’s why those images will stay there. So this problem needs to be solved in the theme.

Anyway if you don’t want to store the avatars of Nextend Social Login at all, then you could go to our Global Settings > Privacy tab and uncheck the “Store – Avatar” option – https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/global-settings-privacy/

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.
