    Hello, Complianz professionals!

I am using Elementor and WPML. The site and company are located in the US but the client wants to comply with GDPR. So we want the cookie banner (and all blocking that follows) only to appear for visitors from Germany/German-speaking visitors/browsers. US visitors should not receive a banner at all or have anything blocked. My questions:

    • How do I do this?
    • Should we distinguish if Complianz is showing a banner depending on the browser language (and therefore WPML language) or the actual region (IP)?
    • Do I need the premium version to achieve this?

Thank you very much, I really need to solve this.

    Hi @chill4,

The Free plugin allows you to select one ‘targeting region’ and apply this configuration worldwide, so it would apply to all of your visitors.

The Premium version contains GEO IP support & allows for multiple targeting regions to be selected, thus allowing you to display a Cookie Banner (or, to not display one at all) based on whether the user visits from a certain region (i.e. GPDR banner in the European Union/no banner in the United States).

But as we are solely allowed to discuss the Free plugin on these forums, please feel free to reach us on support(at)complianz.io if you have any further questions about this. We would be happy to provide further details!

    Kind regards, Jarno
