Disable Comments on Pages – not posts

    How can I disable comments on pages and leave them active for posts? I am using a child theme. Copied the page.php file to the child theme but couldnt find the <?php comments.. section.

    Resolved this myself by going to
    Pages > All Pages

    then check all the pages I dont want comments on, Select bulk action > Edit

    Under Comments select “Do Not Allow”
