Disable comments

    Hi

    I’m building a site using Solon and this might be the first of many posts ??

    I want to turn off comments for every page do I do this under discussion settings/default article settings/those 3 tick boxes?

  • Yes, unchecking those boxes will disable comments by default site-wide. If you wanted to enable comments for just one particular post, you can do so by checking the box titled “Allow comments.” in the Discussion panel on the post editing screen. See Post Editing Screen and The Post Editing Screen Metaboxes for more detail.

    Those three options refer to articles, not pages.

    This plugin does exactly what you want. A different aproach would be to use a child theme and modify the page template, but the plugin option is easier.
