Disable comment function

  • Is there an easy way to completely disble the comment function? Such that there is no hint of a comment mechanism. Messages don’t end in “No Comment”. No text entry box etc.

  • <?php comments_template(); // Get wp-comments.php template ?>

    Remove that from index.php and from page.php / single.php
    That’ll stop anything appearing.

    To avoid spammers and such though from still posting comments, go to Options -> General and check “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.
