• Hi,

I have he following SEO issue : my category pages are partially duplicate content with my tags.

Since I use the “category” functionality for other purposes within my website, I don’t want to get rid of it altogether, but I’d like to find a way to disable only the category pages.

Is there a way to achieve that in your experience ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

  • @benoitmorel,

Categories and tags are ways to make users to identify your content easily.

If you prefer not to show your content in either one of these places, you can remove either the category or the tag from the post.

    Did that help?

    Hi,

Actually not, but it’s probably my explanation which was wrong. I’d like to keep using tags and categories as provided by wordpress.

However, I’d like to disable the page that is created for each category and that re-group all posts related to the category in question.

Does it make more sense ?
