I have discovered that this plugin is not compatible with a number of simple, standard plugins, Archives and Slideshows to name a couple.

Unless there is a solution for using shortcode that requires the wp_footer() to be called in the correct location, I need to disable this plugin by page or stop using it completely.

I want to disable this plugin by page so I can continue to use it on the rest of my site, and just not on the couple of pages that it does horrible things to when activated.

I have loaded a plugin that was supposed to disable editor plugins, but it did not work.

    Hi

Are you saying that you are having problems with the editor area?

The newest version of the plugin does not use the wp-footer in the front end of WordPress pages any more.

If it is just the admin area please let me know.
I will install slideshow and archives to check for conflicts.
Any thing special I should look for in terms of problems?

    Hi!

I just upgraded to WP 3.9, I was using the first Slideshow link you had listed.

My problem is that the pages I use these two plugins do not work when I have PlugNedit activated. the Archives plugin seems to take over the theme and is broken up in the header, and the slideshow just displays the loading icon. once I deactivate PlugNedit, both work perfectly.

    does that help you?

    thanks!!

    Hi Celena

Already have a the bug fix for the slideshow.
Need to read some docs and I will have it published shortly.
Probably the same problem is causing the bug in archives.

    Hi Celena

I published a update that fixed the break up of the archive.
And the slide show of the second plugin link listed displayed a loading icon that is now fixed.

The archives plugin had a few outdated calls from WordPress 2.0 and re-wrote my WordPress permalinks to /archive/ .

This should clear up your problems please let me know.

Update version is 4.4.9 and should be available soon on WordPress.

After updating you can send a link to your site if you wish to [email protected] I will be happy to check for client side script errors.

    Hi Celena

    Great, glad it is working.
The plugin is still in testing for WP 3.9 we will release a update in the next day or two.

You should not have any problems but just letting you know it is not yet officially supported.

You should update when it is published.

Ok, now, the Archives page links (generated by the shortcode “[archives]” do not work. was there any updates to PlugNedit that might cause this to break?

    Hi Celena .

    No it is working fine.
It looks like the embed is outside of plugnedit and the embed is covering the links making them un-clickable.

It seems to me on this type of page you could just post the shortcode in the WordPress editor? Unless I am missing something.

I do not see any formatting that plugnedit is doing on this page.

Ah that did it! I took out the PlugNedit code, and replaced the shortcode. I just have left that there when I was trying EVERYTHING to make it work before.

    thanks again!
