    Hi

I want to create my product pages manually, because the customization options for the pages created automatically by the plugin are insufficient for me.

Do I have a way to delete or hide the pages that WooCommerce automatically generates for my products?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ifalcuho,

Yes, you can delete or even can hide it by changing its visibility to “Private”. However, make sure to set the newly created as the shop page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Shop page. More info: https://woo.com/document/woocommerce-pages/

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    thanks for your answer! ??

My problem is that If I create a page on my own and then assign it as a “store page” or “product page” the previous design breaks.

This is why my idea is to create pages analogous to the “store page” and “product pages” but without assigning them as such from the WooCommerce configuration. Once that was done, I would use blocks and widgets to establish WooCommerce buttons and then guide the customer through the plugin’s own checkout process.

    Is this procedure viable?

    Hey, @ifalcuho!

Do you mind sharing more details about your plans so we can better understand it and make sure if it is possible or not?

Having said that, there are plugins and custom code you can use to edit the product page and shop page.

You can search for “woocommerce customize shop page”, or something similar, on the Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google, for example.

Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins, so it is good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more about this in this guide.

We also have a great blog post about ways to customize the product page here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi!

I simply need the product page to have more customization options than it currently has and I am trying to avoid the massive use of plugins.

If I could customize the product page with the same customization options that I have on the rest of the pages (such as “Home” or “About Us”) my problem would be solved. From this, I came up with the possibility of doing away with the pages that, by default, WooCommerce encourages you to use for individual products and the general store.

The specificity of my problem has to do with the fact that the products on the website will be online courses. So I need to be able to include a lot of information on each product page, such as “frequently asked questions,” “agenda,” “bibliography,” and “certificate information.”

I greatly appreciate your kindness and I look forward to a response!

    Hi @ifalcuho,

I understand your need for more customization options on your product page, particularly as you’re offering online courses. While WooCommerce does provide default templates for product pages, it also allows for customization beyond these templates without the need for numerous plugins.

You can create a custom product page using a child theme and overriding the WooCommerce templates. This way, you can add sections for your “Frequently Asked Questions,” “Agenda,” “Bibliography,” and “Certificate Information” to your product page.

To do this, you would need to create a WooCommerce folder in your child theme directory and copy the template files you want to modify from the WooCommerce plugin directory into it. You can then customize these copied files to suit your needs.

Please note that this does require some knowledge of PHP and HTML. If you’re not comfortable with code, you might want to consider hiring a developer, as this involves custom coding and implementations. The WooCommerce community is filled with talented open-source developers, and many of them are active on the channels listed below:

    Hope this helps!
