Disable auto-updating of Shield plugin in free version

    Hi,

    Is it possible to stop the Shield plugin from auto-updating in the free version of the plugin?

    We had a problem recently where the update created a conflict and caused the site to stop working – we were just seeing a white screen and the site was offline.

    We would like to manage the updating manually so we can immediately be aware of any conflicts.

    Hi Tim,

    We’re sorry, but that’s not possible at this moment.

    Hopefully, we’ll be adding further controls for this auto-update in the next major release.

    Just letting you know that the latest release has a new option under the Auto Updates module to allow you to disable automatic updates for the Shield plugin.
