• Hi there,

My permalinks are set to /%postname%/

When I create a new post, after I hit Publish, the permalinks are automatically adjusting to remove words deemed inessential by WordPress…

So, for example, if I publish a post titled “What You Need To Know”, the permalink will go from /what-you-need-to-know to /what-need-know

How do I disable this so my permalinks are strict hyphenated versions of all the words in my Post Titles?

    Thanks!

  • Can I ask why you need to do this?

    Personal preference —

I’d prefer for my permalinks to be human-readable rather than truncated in accordance with what the permalink editing engine deems is essential vs. inessential.
