Disable Auto Create Account

Can you give us more details of the issue? the account creation is from WooCommerce plugin and if you want to use Amazon Pay plugin you need an account on Amazon Pay. You need to check your WooCommerce account setting (WooCommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy

When the customer initiates the first Amazon Pay transaction, it automatically creates an account even if the “Create An Account?” checkbox is unchecked in the checkout page.

This only happens on Amazon Pay. In our PayPal gateway, it does not automatically create an account. How to disable this?

which kind of product are you using to place order?

if you are using a subscription product, it will always create an account.

do you have a staging link to check it?

I just made a testing order and I didn’t create the account. So I can’t see the issue.

on the checkout page the customer can select if he wants to create an account or not.

try to check the following link conflict test on a Staging site, could be some plugin or even the Theme you are using. We need to isolate the problem first.

If you can’t find the issue, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

hi @christian1983, it was a custom theme. Actually a child theme which has code that auto creates an account and we forgot that it exists. Apologies for wasting your time.
