disable asterisk bold?

  • Hi, is there any way that I can disable the function where when I place an asterisk on either side of the text (eg: *hello*), the word “hello” automatically becomes bolded. Is there a way that I can work around it so it appears just like how I typed it? Thank you.

  • Make sure you’ve disabled Textile 1, Textile 2, and Markdown in your Plugins page. The asterisk is a formatting character that marks bold text when these plugins are active. I think that that’s all you should need to do.

    Thanks! That did the trick. But now I’ve ran into a different problem. The line breaks aren’t showing! *dies*
