Disable animations on mobile

    Hi all,

    I just published my new website, but PageSpeed Insights is saying I should minimize my main thread (Style & Layout: 2.794 ms, Script Evaluation: 2.611).

    Now I was wondering if this could be the result of animations. If that’s the case, I would like to disable my block animations on mobile devices, while keeping them enabled on desktop.

    How would I do this? And for anyone who is familiar with website optimization, could this be a solution to my PageSpeed problem? Also, it says I should avoid excessive DOM size.

    Hope you are fine and doing great.

    Disabling animation on only mobile is currently not available on our plugin. It could be a nice feature, we will introduce this in the future. Thanks for your nice suggestion.

    After checking your home page, as you are using other plugins with Essential Blocks on that page, it’s kinda difficult which plugins affect page speed, it will be good if you create another page only with Essential Blocks, and check the page performance.

    We also have some observations and suggestions, like your cookie acceptance pop-up, also found a cdn for cookies calling taking some time, these may affect page speed. Now, you may use a caching plugin, which will increase your site speed.

    This is just a follow up from our last message. Are you facing the page speed issue yet? Do you add any caching plugin? if yes, how was the improvements.

    Hi Amin,

    Sorry for my late response. Thank you for looking into this.

    We did add a caching plugin, without much success. Ultimately, we rebuilt our website to not contain any Essential Blocks, which lead to a better result in Speed Insight. We also changed our cookie notice, which also made the site load faster.
