What is the best way to disable the ajax on the cart page when updating or removing from a cart? We would like this to just do a plain reload instead of the ajax calls. I have seen a way to add a jquery hook to reload after that ajax runs but we would rather prefer a way to just have that functionality reload the page and not use any ajax. Please advise. Thanks.

  • Hi there ??

Thanks for reaching out to Woo Support, and for your patience!

What is the best way to disable the ajax on the cart page when updating or removing from a cart?

Using the Cart shortcode would be advisable, instead of the Cart block.

Further details can be found in the documentation, linked here, for your convenience.

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions about this matter, or if we misinterpret your concern in any way. We will be happy to help you further.

How does that allow you to disable?ajax for the cart? I don’t see anything about that.?Also, I’m already using the short code since my site was setup prior to that update with the blocks.

    Hi @aretehemp,

If you’re already using the shortcode version, please go to your WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Add to cart behaviour → untick the box “Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives”, and save your changes.

I hope this helps so far!

    Cheers!

We have that already setup. I am referring to the ajax on the cart page when updating the quantity of an item in your cart and when removing an item in your cart.

    Hello aretehemp

Thank you for your reply and clarification.

I understand you wish to disable the AJAX feature on the cart page.
Specifically when a product is removed or quantity is changed.

This is something that can only be achieved by custom code.
Our support policy does not cover custom-coded solutions.
You will need to consult a local web developer or hire one from a reputable platform like codeable.io.

I hope this sets you in the right direction.
Let me know if you have any other questions. ??

    Best regards.
