    Hey,

I’m using the borlabs cookies plugin

    https://borlabs.io/borlabs-cookie/

It has a section where I can place code that is disabled and will not run until the user has accepted or opted in.

It also supports iFrame and YouTube Videos not to be loaded and a user can load the content by actively clicking a button.

I love to see you would support the borlabs cookie plugin.

    Cheers
    Yogie

    Hi Yogie,

thanks for reaching out. That seems to be a popular solution. They are not even far away (also in Germany). I reached out to them for a test license and some more specific information about certain use cases now. Understandingly, they seem to be busy these days ??

I think we can build a basic implementation with them.

    Hi Thomas,

many thanks for the implementation. However, I do have a quick question…

on the settings/help page I read:

    Borlabs Cookies
    borlabsCookie
,all – all cookies are accepted
    first-party – only first-party cookies

    is it really “,all”?

    Cheers and thanks!

    Hi Joerg,

yes, it is really ,all. Their cookie value is a bit more cryptic than other and they also have one value that contains all, but where the choice is negative. The difference between both is the comma ??

    Excellent,

many thanks Thomas! (wow what a fast reply ?? )

BTW – I had some minor suggestions made to enhance the Advanced Ads plugin. However, I cannot find these at your feature requests page!?

One of it was to give a custom “Ad label” on ads base, so we can clearly label the ad if it is a partner, a advertisement, a affiliate link etc.

I cannot recall the second one – looks like it was even less important to me ??

Have a great evening and greetings from the most west part of Germany…

    Hi Joerg,

I try to review the feature request list every few weeks and there were indeed some pending.

I am a bit hesitant about the ad-specific label. I can see your point, but am not sure if this would benefit a lot of users. I once wrote this tutorial about adding a label using your own code, which would also allow you to make customizations.

Just published your request anyway, since it is the purpose of that list to gather feedback and see if our feature priorities align with our users’.

I also reviewed all other pending requests now and published the ones that are technically possible. Maybe, your other suggestion was among them. There was also one about GDPR, which I removed for obvious reasons.

    Got it ??
Maybe ads can be categorized and the Ad Label could be per category ??

I’ll check your site again and will vote on the requests.

    Many thanks again!
    Cheers
    Joerg
