Directory Site with Multiple Restaurants

  • 1. Is it possible to use this plugin & add a shortcode to multiple restaurants listings within our site? We use GeoDirectory and would like to use this plugin for our Restaurant Listings. Assign a shortcode to each Restaurant Listing?
    2. If Yes, can the Booking Form display as a tab in the Listing?

    No, not really. It does support multiple locations, but it is not intended to support third-party restaurants. A booking manager has access to bookings at all locations.

    You’d need to do a significant amount of custom coding to use the plugin this way.

    What would it take for you to make a version that could do that?
    I want to be able to use many restaurants on the same site but to different booking managers.
    That would be so phenomenal.

    I’m not interested in developing this, but I’d encourage you to reach out to codeable.io. They match customization projects with qualified freelancers at reasonable rates.

    This would be a pretty sizable customization, so it will probably cost a fair amount.

    All of the data storage and access is premised on there being a single collection of settings (schedule, notifications, etc) and a single authentication capability (one role to access all bookings).

    In order to get what you’re looking for, you’d need to add code into access checks whenever a booking is read or modified, to check if the current user has access to a given booking. You’d also need to split out the data storage for all settings so that each restaurant could have it’s own settings
