Directory Problems – Not Found

So i moved my wordpress to a new directory, and changed the proper index files and so on. Im also using the static front plugin for the home page. Here’s the problem.

https://www.example.com pulls up the main static page

https://www.example.com/directory/ (where wordpress is now installed) pulls up 404 Not Found

https://www.example.com/directory/uncatergorized/ pulls up the uncatergorized posts.

Why is it that the uncatergorized category will come up but not the main “www.example.com/directory/”

I have a feeling its a simple fix.
